Heritage House Victorian Museum (Heritage Associates, Inc.)

Who We Are

Sustaining the preservation of Heritage House Victorian Museum while educating the public about Rochester's history and the museum's collection is the mission of Heritage Associates, a non-profit, all volunteer organization that operates the museum. The house was built in 1875, survived the devastating tornado of 1883, was saved from demolition in 1971, was moved to Central Park in downtown Rochester in 1972 and was renovated and opened as a museum in 1975. Summer tours have been offered for over 40 years providing a journey back to a simpler time for visitors and community members.

What We Do

Summer tours of this house museum educate visitors about Rochester, MN history, the original owners of the house and the Victorian era interior.
